Hi –
Hope you’re having a great day.
… Snow …
There’s something about it.
Kids love it.
It’s great to watch them play in it.
It makes you want to run for the camera.
(Or whip out the cell phone!)
And there’s something else.
Because when it comes to snow?
Even when we’ve grown up?
There’s still a little kid in us!
And as much as we are inconvenienced by it?
(Talk about an understatement today!)
It’s fun!
… And it’s not that bad to feel like a kid once in a while.
Because, there is one thing kids do better than us adults.
Kids ask questions!
They haven’t been ‘trained’ to just say …
“That’s how it is”.
And when kids see something amazing?
They aren’t afraid to say …
“Wow”.
We were like that once too.
But then we grew up. Became adults. Educated.
“Sophisticated”.
But we lost something in the process.
… Today is a good time to get back to being like kids.
To look at the beauty and complexity of the universe.
And say…
“Wow! Who made it?”
To think about Jewish history.
At how all the great empires have disappeared.
And to say…
“Wow. Why are the Jewish people still here?
… So don’t be ashamed to be a kid!
If you feel like it?
Make a snow man. Have a snowball fight.
But don’t forget the other part of being a kid …
Don’t forget to look around.
To see how scenic and beautiful the snow is …
And say wow!
All the best,
