Hi,
A short follow up to Tuesday’s Torah Minute.
Memory aids.
We use them for help in remembering important things.
Like the name of an important client. A birthday that we better not forget.
(Not to even mention forgetting an anniversary!)
… Here’s a memory aid for dealing with some of the challenges of every day life.
And for remembering the most important thing.
Who we are!
Next time we’re about to “lose it” at the driver ahead of us?
Or we’re driving home after “one of those days”, and we’re thinking.
“Don’t expect me to be in a good mood tonight!
One wrong step and I’ll finally let you have it!”
Or about to share a very juicy piece of gossip over our (non hand held) cel phone?
We should take a look at the license plate in front of us.
What will we most likely see?
“Land of Lincoln”!
… And that should remind us.”I am a success today because I had a friend who believed in me. And I didn’t have the heart to let him down.”
And that should remind us.
“G-d believes in us!
He has faith that we can make a difference. Can make the world a better place!
Faith that we can choose to live a life of meaning. Choose right over wrong. Better not let Him down”!
… We need all the help we can get!
All the best,P.S. Not from Illinois? You may want to look (not when driving) at a penny or a five dollar bill!
