CTN TORAH MINUTE

Hi,

Hope you’re having a great day.

… More about Barry Shore.

The amazing man who suddenly became a quadriplegic and heroically bounced back.

I hope you think of him when you see “www” on your computer.

“What a Wonderful World!”

… Barry had a pet project before he got sick.

He gave out “smiling” cards.

One side of the card says “keep smiling”.

And the other side?

Some beautiful lines about smiling, author unknown.

Here are some of them.

“A smile costs nothing but gives so much.

It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give.

It takes but a moment but the memory of it sometimes lasts a lifetime.

Some people are too tired to give a smile.  Give them one of yours.

As no one needs a smile as much as he who has none to give.”

… Did Barry lose his enthusiasm after getting sick?

Not at all!

“When you are in a wheelchair and give out “keep smiling” cards?

People are much more likely to accept them.”

Eventually, when people asked Barry for his business card?

He would hand them a “keep smiling” card.

And when they looked surprised and said,

“But it doesn’t have your name and number?”

He would say, “Oh …

You want my contact information?”

So far, Barry has distributed 150,000 cards.  His goal is a million!

He loves to send “keep smiling” cards to anyone who requests them.

In fact, he would love to send a few to you!

If you would like, reply to this Torah Minute and I will send you the e-mail address!

… We should think of Barry Shore and smile.

And when we hand someone our business card?

Make sure we give it with a big smile.

Not only because it may be good for business.

But because we should be in the business of making people smile!

All the best,
