As we saw, Abraham interrupted G-d’s visit to take care of three strangers.

He taught us the greatness of helping those in need.

When the guests were taken care of?

Abraham goes back to G-d.

And G-d tells him the good news.

“By this time next year, Sarah will have a child!” (Genesis, 18:10)

… Are the two things connected?

Jewish tradition says they can be.

… It’s interesting.

Sometimes a couple waits years and years for a child.

Then they decide to adopt a baby.

And all of a sudden?

Mazal tov!

They have a biological child of their own!

(And thank G-d, get very little sleep for a very long time!)

… There are different opinions among the “experts.”

Some may say it’s just a fluke.

Others offer different theories to explain the “phenomena.”

… There are sources in Jewish tradition that remind us of Abraham and Sarah.

They opened their home to strangers.

And a miracle happened!

… We all have our unique challenges.

And we should do whatever we can to improve the situation.

Like consulting experts.  Or asking advice from family and friends.

And we should not underestimate the power of prayer.

But there’s something else that’s very powerful.

Acts of kindness.

 … Showing G-d that we take care of His children!
